The Bridge2Collaboration’s Landmark Event Invites Local Businesses to Look to a Stable Future Where Everyone Has a Place to Call Home

On Tuesday 20th September, The Bridge (East Midlands) invited the change makers and thought leaders of local businesses to join them in The Bridge2Collaboration’s landmark networking event that inspired true, innovative change across the East Midlands. The Bridge 2 Collaboration is an innovative partnership in Leicestershire with exclusive offers to build, nurture and promote businesses, whilst ensuring that we all have a safe place to call home.

The lunch gathering was located in a stunning contemporary industrial loft in the heart of Loughborough donated by members Loc8Me - the perfect a backdrop for the innovative collaboration to trail blaze toward a future without homelessness. Over 30 businesses came together from across the East Midlands to hear more about the support that The Bridge is offering in the local community, and to see what they could offer to help the cause.

Local businesses such as those from Trident and Hinckley & Rugby Building Society listened on as The Bridge shared stories from of their benefactors within the past year. Approaching their Annual Impact Report release on 26th September, The Bridge were able to share exclusive statistics of their past year’s achievements at the event. This included that 2330 households were supported by their services in the past year (April 21- March 22), and in that 88% of their client’s homelessness was prevented or relieved.

Helping combat these local issues, the event saw Bhumika Parmar from BP Legal share her reason to support the cause: “I became interested in the charity and understand how much they need local support. I’m glad I came today because it’s engraved into my mind that this is something where I can help”.

All profits of the event and future membership fees go towards the life changing charity who offer advice, assistance and support services that work to prevent and overcome homelessness. In just one event so much positivity, empowerment and support was shared. The Bridge2 Collaboration now looks to a successful future in partnership with local businesses to create a stable future where everyone has a place to call home.
