Jay is the Managing Director of a HR and IT Consultancy company. She has over 30 years HR and management experience including 9 years as Head of HR in a local authority Social Care environment. Jay is a Chartered Member of the CIPD. An avid networker throughout the Leicestershire area, she supports many local charities and businesses in the UK.
Richard White
Vice Chair
Richard was employed in education for over 40 years, working as a lecturer and manager in Further Education and then for local authorities as an Inspector/Adviser and most recently, oftsted. He is also a local primary school governor and trustee of a charity providing opportunities for disadvantaged young people. Richard is actively engaged in a local church community and enjoys golf, walking with his wife and singing.
Jon Olds
Trustee
Jon is a self-employed French to English translator specialised in investor relations, corporate governance and financial reporting. He is currently studying for the ICSA CSQS qualification, the gold standard for corporate governance and compliance professionals. Jon moved from France to the area with his family in 2000 and is a keen, but untalented badminton player and also the club secretary.
Ashiedu Joel

Ashiedu is the founder of Ashioma Consults, a management consultancy and training establishment. Prior to this, she worked in the Public Sector in various capacities within Housing Management. She is an experienced event’s organiser and is actively engaged within her local community, representing various forums. She is also presently the engagement lead within her local community church.
Steve Ablett

Steve’s background is in sales and business development, primarily the printing and brand protection industries. Previously a Managing Director of two SME’s - including a start-up - Steve has now retired from his role at a local brand protection company. Steve has lived in Leicestershire for most of his adult life, where he enjoys any outdoor activity.
Amanda Soraghan

Amanda has worked in the voluntary sector including in senior management roles within a national refugee agency for over 20 years and prior to this worked in the NHS. Her current role involves ensuring quality standards in a range of charities. She has a particular interest in Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, has a MSC in International Politics and is originally from the north of Ireland.

After training and practising for a number of years as a Chartered Management Accountant, Mark changed careers and is now a professional Fundraising Manager. He has over a decade’s experience working with a variety of charitable organisations as both a volunteer and fundraising professional, and is a qualified member of the Chartered Institute of Fundraising.
David Sims
Trustee
David has a background in the chilled food industry, including being Chief Executive of a PLS and for the last 15 years running his own business. Ten years as a trustee at Nottinghamshire Housing Association has given David an insight into the problems around homelessness. In his own time, David is now a keen golfer and treasurer of the village cricket club.
