A Visit from the High Sheriff of Leicestershire
On Wednesday 1st February, High Sheriff of Leicestershire, Mehmooda Duke, visited The Bridge (East Midlands). Colleagues at The Bridge provided her with a detailed overview of the services we provide, including our Housing Advice, Single Access point for young people, Triage and Mediation.
We also spoke about the social injustice issues, including challenging perceptions.
Jay Webb, Chair of the Board of Trustees at The Bridge said: “The work we do at The Bridge is not only about the critical support provided to the local communities but also making sure we challenge vast misconceptions about homelessness. It was so empowering to being echoed by Mehmooda during her. It was wonderful to welcome her to our offices and showcase our services.”

We are delighted to be able to work alongside Mehmooda during her final months as a High Sheriff of Leicestershire, celebrating togetherness in our local area.
