Support Services

What is it?

The Rutland Community Wellbeing Service helps Rutland citizens to improve their personal health and wellbeing and the overall welfare of the community through advice, support and specific services for older people, those living with dementia and people with sensory impairment.

The Rutland Community Wellbeing Service is delivered by Rutland Access Partnership (RAP) which is a partnership between The Bridge, Citizens Advice Rutland and Spire Homes.

What can we help with?

We deliver long-term support, information, advice, guidance and signposting, to support individuals to develop the skills necessary for achieving and sustaining independent living.

Support will help people to manage and address issues, such as, homelessness, substance misuse, healthy lifestyles and money management.

Our Support Workers can support people with:

  • Homelessness
  • Housing Options
  • Budgeting
  • Managing household bills
  • Money management
  • Setting up a new tenancy
  • Benefit applications
  • Social isolation
  • Physical health
  • Mental health
  • Healthy eating/ lifestyle
  • Substance/alcohol misuse
  • Accessing training, work or education
  • Accessing childcare
  • Accessing community groups

How do we help?

We provide one-to-one support through home visits, phone contact and/or drop-ins. Support will be focussed on helping people to develop the skills necessary for achieving and sustaining independent living and wellbeing, and will last for up to 2 years, dependant on need.

The Rutland Community Wellbeing Service, takes referrals for anyone over the age of 16, who has a support need and living in Rutland.
