Homeless Charity Launches #LocalLifesaver Campaign to Support Rough Sleepers This Summer

The Bridge (East Midlands), a leading homelessness charity, is calling on the community to support their new #LocalLifesaver campaign.

As Summer continues and with extreme weather likely, the charity urgently needs funds to provide more essential items such as water, suncream, and other summer necessities to rough sleepers across Leicester, Leicestershire, and Rutland.

The summer heat can be life-threatening for those without shelter. The Bridge’s  #LocalLifesaver campaign aims to ensure rough sleepers have access to vital supplies that will protect them from the harsh weather conditions and help maintain their health and well-being.

"We are committed to safeguarding the lives of the most vulnerable in our community," said Anna Maudsley, Head of Programmes and Services at The Bridge (East Midlands). "With your support, we can provide the essential items needed to survive the summer heat.

“Every donation, no matter how small, can make a significant difference and will have a direct impact on our Rough Sleeper Outreach teams ability to help homeless individuals."

Community members are encouraged to contribute here.

All donations to this campaign will go directly towards purchasing and distributing supplies to those in need.
